Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) bag broken sourdough pretzels
  • 2 tablespoon dry ranch dressing mix or 1 sleeve
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-2 tbsp pizza seasoning McCormick's Get a Pizza This recommended
  • cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¾ cup cooking oil vegetable or olive oil preferred

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 225℉.
  • Empty entire bag of pretzels into large mixing bowl.  Set aside.
  • Next, mix all the dry seasonings and parmesan together in a small bowl.
  • Measure cooking oil in a large, spouted measuring cup. Then add the seasonings mixture to this measuring cup and stir well.
  • Pour the oil mixture over the pretzels. Use a large mixing spoon to mix.
  • Spread the pretzels onto the baking sheet in a single layer so that they're not overlapping. Drizzle any remaining liquid from the bowl over the pretzels.
  • Bake pretzels in preheated 225 degree oven for 1 hour. Stir pretzels on pan with spatula every 20 minutes. Stir once more when pretzels come out of the oven. Allow pretzels to rest for 10 minutes before transferring to container.
  • Store in an airtight conatiner for up to 1 week.

Notes

Can't find pizza seasoning? Substitute 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning with ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes and ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
I use Hidden Valley Ranch's dry seasoning mix.
You can buy any brand of sourdough pretzels, but I strongly suggest trying to buy broken ones. It cuts out a lot of the grease work!
