Equipment
- 24-cup silicone mini muffin pan (if using a metal pan, make sure it's very well greased)

- 1 16 oz (24-count) package refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 48 red, white, and/or blue melting wafers I use Wilton brand
- 72 patriotic M&M's I try to put one of each color on each cookie
- festive sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉.
- Place one cookie dough portion inside of each muffin cup. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are slightly golden brown and cookies are puffy/slightly dented in the center.
- Remove pan from oven; place on wire rack. Turn off oven.
- Immediately place two melting wafers into the center of each cookie; gently press in.
- Return muffin pan to warm oven (turned off). Set a timer for 2 minutes to allow the wafers to become soft and partially melted.
