This incredibly easy pumpkin dip recipe was inspired by my Two Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake, but with a lighter, definitely less filling/lower calorie vibe.
The two main ingredients (cream cheese and pumpkin) get whipped together in a food processor, along with cozy spices and confectioner's sugar. The end result is a velvety smooth, creamy dreamy dip that pairs well with apples, graham crackers, gingersnaps and more.

👪Why you'll love it
| Great make ahead recipe- I suggest letting the dip chill for a minimum of one hour, but it tastes even better and creamier the next day! Makes a lot- This recipe yields 3 cups of creamy pumpkin dip, making it perfect to feed a crowd (which is great, because it's so crowd pleasing!). Kids love it- My kids love dipping apple slices, honey and chocolate graham crackers, oatmeal cookies, gingersnaps, pretzels--even Rice Krispie treats into this sweet and creamy dip (and guess what?--adults love doing this too 😉). |
🥘Ingredients

- cream cheese- full fat Philadelphia brand recommended for optimum creaminess; you'll want to soften this at room temperature before using
- confectioner's sugar- for just the right amount of smooth sweetness; no sifting required
- 100% pumpkin- one can is all you need; please note this is not the same as pumpkin pie filling
- cinnamon, allspice, ginger- cozy spices to accentuate the pumpkin's flavor
See recipe card for quantities.
🔪Instructions

- Step 1: In a food processor, whip the softened cream cheese.

- Step 2: Add the confectioner's sugar and process until smooth.

- Step 3: Add the spices and pulse until incorporated.

- Step 4: Add the pumpkin; process until well blended; chill.
Hint: It's best to add the confectioner's sugar in intervals for easier blending and to avoid a lot of flying sugar dust.
🥣Substitutions
- Spices - sometimes it can be hard to find allspice. You can use 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice instead and omit the cinnamon (but not the ginger).
- Pumpkin- feel free to use fresh pumpkin for this recipe instead of canned; you will need 2 cups puréed.

💭Top tip
This recipe yields 3 cups, which is great for parties. If you're looking to make less (especially if just for the family), simply cut all the ingredients in half. This is super easy to do since all ingredient measurements are even. You can always freeze ½ a can (roughly 1 cup) of pumpkin; simply defrost overnight in the fridge when ready to make this tasty dip again!
