These frozen strawberry yogurt bites are the perfect middle ground for when you want a sweet treat without a total sugar overload. While the candy base adds sweetness, their tiny size makes them a much smarter, portion-controlled alternative to traditional candy. Simple to prep, they're the perfect chilled reward to keep stashed in your freezer for whenever a craving hits.

These frozen strawberry yogurt bites were partly inspired by the viral TikTok trend of chocolate-covered strawberry clusters, but we’ve given them a creamy, refined twist. Because they use whole milk Greek yogurt, you get a protein boost that makes this snack feel much more indulgent than it actually is.
Making these frozen treats is a breeze since you don't even have to turn on the oven. Just melt pink wafers and pour them into mini muffin cups to create a pretty candy base. Next, fold fresh strawberries into honey-sweetened yogurt and dollop the mixture on top. Finish them with mini chocolate chips for a satisfying crunch before freezing until firm.

Kids absolutely love the "candy cup" look, making these a fun way to get them to eat more fruit and protein. Just like Bumps on a Log and Stuffed Mini Peppers, they're the perfect bite-sized snack for satisfying a craving without a ton of calories or a major sugar crash.
Whether you’re enjoying them by the pool on a hot summer day or adding them to a dessert spread for a Valentine's party, these tiny treats are always a crowd-pleaser. Just be warned: they disappear so fast, you might want to hide a secret stash in the back of the freezer just for yourself 😉.

See recipe card for quantities.
🔪Instructions

- Step 1: Melt candy in the microwave per package directions.

- Step 2: Immediately place 1 tablespoon of melted mixture into mini muffin cups; allow to slightly cool.

- Step 3: Whisk the yogurt, diced strawberries, and honey; spoon this mixture on top of the melted candy.

- Step 4: Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top, if desired. Place the muffin pan in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours to set.
Hint: Once set, let the frozen bites sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before popping them out with a small spoon. If your pan tends to stick, use a quick spritz of cooking spray or paper liners before starting.
📖Variations
- Fruit swap - switch things up with blueberries, raspberries, or even chopped bananas for a tropical twist

- 2 mixing bowls
- cutting board & chef's knife
🍶Storage
Once your frozen Greek yogurt strawberry bites are fully set, pop them out of the muffin pan and move them to an airtight, freezer-safe container. To keep them from sticking together, place a small piece of parchment paper between each layer. These treats will stay fresh and delicious in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
💭Top tip
To avoid "brain freeze" and a rock-hard candy base, try moving a few bites to the fridge about 2–3 hours before you plan to snack. This softens them just enough to give you a perfect, creamy consistency without being too frosty! Just remember to only thaw what you need, as refreezing can mess with the yogurt’s texture.
🗨️FAQ
The key to a creamy texture is using whole-milk Greek yogurt. Fat-free or thin yogurts have higher water content, which creates ice crystals when frozen. Additionally, ensure your strawberries are patted dry before mixing them in to prevent extra moisture from turning into ice.
Yes, you can use frozen strawberries! Just make sure to thaw and drain them thoroughly first. Since frozen fruit releases more liquid than fresh, skipping this step can make the yogurt mixture runny and lead to a "grainy" or icy consistency once refrozen.
When stored in an airtight, freezer-safe container or bag, these bites will stay delicious for up to 2 weeks. For the best flavor, try to enjoy them within the first 7 days to avoid freezer burn.
